My Thoughts on Blended Learning: The Flex School Model

A few things came together as I am thinking more and more about blended learning, what it means, and how more traditional programs (traditional teaching models as well as Independent Study) could transform student learning by incorporating aspects of blended learning into their programs.

Earlier in the week I came across a video (I would encourage you to watch) created and shared by @bhwilkoff and a quick back-and-forth followed:

Along with this, as part of my ACSA Innovative Technology Academy, I created a Voki introduction and a presentation to illustrate my thoughts on future trends in education. I chose to illustrate my Blended Learning, in particular the Flex School Model. The following  Voki and Prezi illustrate these thoughts:

What’s next? Well, I’ll be down in San Diego this week for the California Charter Schools Association (CCSA) annual conference. One of the topics I’ll be looking for is exactly this.
